When I look at this picture from the mountain biking trail at Harris Lake Park I am reminded of the Robert Frost quote, “Two roads diverged in a wood, I took the one less travelled by and that has made all the difference”. As I enter middle age (by the way, when does middle age really start?), I reflect on the path that brought me to the place I am today and while it’s had some twists and turns, some highs and lows, good decisions and if I’m being truly honest some really bad decisions, all in all I feel truly blessed to have made it here. My real journey began many moons ago but this latest chapter is one I’m really looking forward to pursuing. It’s been a goal of mine for many years to complete a yoga teacher training program and in July of 2018 I did it! As I begin my yoga teaching vocation I only hope that I can make a difference, that I can brighten someone’s day and bring a little peace, joy and love to my corner of the woods.
Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton
